Doug and Sue Thompson built their new facility west of Austin,
relocating their business there in May 2003. It was the fulfillment
of a life long dream for them. Drawn by the beauty of the Texas
hill country, Doug and Sue looked for five years for the right
property for their home and business in the Austin area. They
both love Austin as a city, mixed cultures, emphasis on music,
art and nature, the rugged beauty of the hill country and the
mediterranean-like feel of the lake district area.
After finally finding a piece
of land they loved, they built their new facilities based on
Doug's 30 years of experience. They incorporated many innovative
designs in their new barn with Doug's design of a new, custom
stall system. Everything from the horse exerciser to the view
from the covered arena has been an exciting transition for them.
As they go through the process of developing an Austin-style
horse business, they are looking forward to the new friends,
both people and horses, they will make.
